Intro Script with Examples
Ways to prepare an Intro script for a LIVE recorded session on Social Audio. #broadcast #podcast #moderating #host #talkshow
Dear Reader, are you preparing to lead a LIVE recorded conversation? Most platforms provide the option to save the recording to build a body of work and portfolio. One may ask… What should I say for the first 3 minutes? How can I ground myself, my guests and hook the listeners?
Preparing a script for the start, middle and end can help, especially with the practice of reading the script aloud a few times, and knowing the script well enough to remain flexible to make adjustments during a live show.

The Script I use everyday…
with 6 key components outlined
1. Welcome, Greeting and Overview
“Hello LIVE and Replay listeners. Welcome to Modernchi, you are at {X room title}.”

This is more than a podcast, where we talk about what’s going on behind the scenes. We equip you to launch your first room as a new user or relaunch and catch up on new features, if you have been away.”
“Give myself and {X guest} a follow and hit the bell so you can find us again when we go live next.”
3. Ask for Audience Participation and Self-Introduction
“Lovely to see you here, you can participate by tapping on one of the buttons at the bottom of the screen to let our voices be heard far and wide.”
“Tap on the box with arrow up to share the room. Tap on the scissors to clip a 30s highlight to share on Twitter. I find that to be the easiest way.”
10 seconds Self-Introduction:
“I am Katy Mason @modernchi, your Culture Leader in Social Audio teaming up with you to create your success.”
OPTIONAL. If my guests have not arrived, I have more time to include my connection to the Topic and the Club.
